Connect Google Search Console
Ground audits in your real query, page, and click data. OAuth, read-only by default, encrypted at rest.
Google Search Console is the highest-value data source you can connect: it is Google's own record of how your site performs in Search. HubSEO pulls from your verified properties over OAuth.
What connecting gives you
- Real impressions, clicks, and average position per query and per page.
- Ground-truth for which pages Google actually indexes and surfaces.
- Audit findings that can reference your real query data instead of lab-only signals.
Highest-value connection
Search Console is Google's own record of how your site performs in Search. It is the single most valuable data source you can connect: every finding gains a real-traffic reference instead of a lab-only signal.
How the connection works
- You authorise HubSEO through Google OAuth for a property you have already verified in Search Console.
- The refresh token is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM before storage. It is never stored in plaintext.
- The scope is what the connection needs to read your property data. If a future feature needs more, it asks again.
Before you connect
Verify the property in Search Console first (DNS TXT or HTML tag). If Google does not consider you the owner, the OAuth grant will not see the property.
Privacy and control
Disconnecting revokes the stored credential and stops all GSC reads. Your account data is exportable and deletable at any time through the account endpoints: see Data control.
