llms.txt
What llms.txt is, what HubSEO does with it, and an honest template. No ranking claims.
llms.txt is an emerging, unofficial convention: a Markdown file at the site
root that gives language models a curated index of your content. Alongside
it, llms-full.txt typically carries the complete flattened text.
What HubSEO does with it
The audit probes https://your-domain/llms.txt directly. The result feeds
the ai-llms-txt signal of the AI readiness score:
- Present and well-formed:
pass. - Missing: the signal reports missing. Not a failure: an absence.
- Unreachable:
unavailable, excluded from the score's denominator.
This documentation itself ships llms.txt and llms-full.txt routes, so
AI tools can read the docs in one fetch.
What llms.txt is not
There is no evidence that publishing llms.txt automatically improves
rankings or AI-answer citations. HubSEO treats it as a readiness signal: it
makes your content easier for cooperating tools to consume. It does not
guarantee any engine will read it. If a vendor promises otherwise, ask for
the measurement.

- Point at canonical, stable URLs.
- Annotate each link with what the page actually contains.
- Keep it small. It is an index, not a dump.
- If you also ship
llms-full.txt, keep both generated from the same source so they never drift.
Verify
Publish the file, re-run the audit, and check the ai-llms-txt signal
flipped to passing. The deeper walkthrough on the main site is
